Three times bigger!
This exciting $2.8M addition is three times the size of the previous splash park! The Splash Park features a variety of new amenities, including all new custom water features, such as a multi-level slide play structure, a 350-gallon water dump feature, as well as plenty of sitting areas and shade structures. The new splash park is designed to appeal to a wide array of ages, from tall slides and spray features for tweens to an area with interactive water features designed for toddlers.
This new addition will replace the 12-year-old splash park, a guest favorite at the Aquarium since 2011. The 15,000-square-foot splash park is designed to mimic the aquatic and terrestrial habitats of the Caribbean and the animals that reside there. This new space will enhance the Aquarium visitor experience, adding more value to each membership and admission ticket.
*Water shoes recommended
Guests will recognize familiar species along the waterscape as seen in the Aquarium’s Caribbean Journey, like macaws, sharks, and snakes!
During the summer months, the Splash Park is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.*
*The splash park is weather dependent and may not operate in periods of rain, forecasted inclement weather, or low temperatures.
**Water features will be turned off 15 minutes prior to closing, to allow guests time to exit before the facility closes.
Great Food and Beverage Options!
Not getting in the water? No problem! The new addition appeals and caters to both children and parents alike, including 30 tables with umbrellas for lounging, as well as a Dippin Dots station, snacks, drinks, and a mobile ordering food service from the Pepsi Shoreline Grill, the Aquarium’s main restaurant.
No, after many years of use, the old Splash Park has been demolished and it’s now replaced with a new Nature Play area. This area is a green space designed to provide outdoor relaxation. Shade trees, park benches, and a walking path make this the perfect spot to eat lunch or take a quiet break during your visit.
