Below is a list of many of the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the Memberships:

Members get free admission to the Aquarium along with a lot of other great benefits.  When you purchase a membership, you can decided to list all members of your household or you can leave slots open for guests.  This will allow you the flexibility to bring anyone with you to the Aquarium. The only catch is at least one named individual needs to be present in order to access the membership.

Your Texas State Aquarium membership will be valid for one year from the month of purchase. For example, if you joined November 15, 2016, your membership expires November 30, 2017.

Your membership card should arrive 7 to 14 days after you join, and we make every effort to expedite your membership to get it to you as soon as possible.

Yes. Day-of admission receipts are redeemable toward your membership if you purchase the membership that same day. Only one admission receipt valid towards a membership and can be used only for the individuals who purchased the admission tickets.

We encourage members to replace lost or stolen cards as soon as possible. There is a $5 fee for a replacement card. To order a new card, call the Membership Office at (361) 881-1341 or visit the Ticket Desk at the Aquarium.

No. Memberships are nontransferable and are intended for use by individual households only. We require all members to present a valid photo ID upon entering the Aquarium.

Yes! Just call the Membership Office at (361) 881-1341 or visit the Ticket Desk at the Aquarium to add additional slots to your membership.

One card is given with each membership. Additional cards may be purchased for $5 by calling the Membership office at (361) 881-1340 or visit the Ticket Desk at the Aquarium.

To prevent misuse of membership cards, we require photo ID upon entering the Aquarium. As a non-profit organization, we rely on membership dues for much of our support. We also want to protect our members should their cards be lost or stolen.

Yes! If you have plans to visit the Aquarium and wish to use your member benefits, simply show your confirmation screen at our Ticket Desk. 

No. Although free parking is one of your many benefits, unfortunately, the parking lots may be full at times. In order to secure a parking space, we recommend arriving at the Aquarium early. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis.

Membership cards are non-transferable, so you would need to buy a membership that has your child listed with additional guest slots.

Members may purchase discounted tickets for additional guests that are not covered by your membership level. Currently, the discount is $2 off of adult admission and $1 off of children’s admission.  If you plan on bringing guests multiple times, consider upgrading your membership to save money!

The Texas State Aquarium does not provide refunds on memberships.

No, our memberships are for individuals and families only. We do, however, offer discounts on group sales. Please call our Sales Office at 361-881-1307 for more information on group sales.
