New for 2014! For the first time ever in SeaCamp history, we’re moving to a full day format. Everybody loves SeaCamp, and we know that with this improvement parents will find it easier to drop off and pick up their Campers before and after work. The additional time has also allowed us to expand a number of real science and STEM learning activities, while maintaining all the usual outdoor, fishing, kayaking, and pool time fun.

Parents may drop their children at SeaCamp between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Structured camp activities will be conducted between the hours of 8:30 and 4:30, and parents may pick their children up between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.

Scholarships: Partial scholarships for SeaCamp 2014 were offered thanks to the generosity of Navy Army Community Credit Union. The application deadline for scholarships was April 15, 2014, and those applications are currently in the review process. Applicants will be notified as soon as the scholarships have been awarded.

Then we’ll travel into our bay to study the fish and invertebrates that inhabit our waters, try our hands at geocaching, and enjoy a day behind the scenes with Aquarium staff to see what it takes to work with our animals. Aquanauts will journal their science activities and be encouraged to photograph and video their experiences for later use – dare we say back at school?
