Middle-School Students Test Their Knowledge at the 4th Annual Oceanography Challenge

 

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The fourth-annual Oceanography Challenge will be held this Saturday, January 24,from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Math & Science Center at Texas A&M University—Corpus Christi.The Oceanography Challenge is designed to educate middle-school students about the Gulf of Mexico marine environment through an exciting academic tournament. Coastal Bend Community Foundation has sponsored this year’s challenge, and TAMU-CC has generously donated their facility.

 

Participating schools include Kaffie Middle School, Annapolis Christian Academy, Incarnate Word Academy, First Baptist School, St. James Episcopal School, London Middle School, Homeschool Organization of South Texas, and the STEM Academy at Cunningham Middle School.

 

The media is invited to attend the challenge on Saturday. Texas State Aquarium Director of Science Education Tara Schultz will be available for interviews. Please see the schedule below for details.
