Dolphins and Harlem Globetrotter to Meet Today at Texas State Aquarium

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The Texas State Aquarium’s Atlantic bottlenose dolphins and a visiting member of the Harlem Globetrotters will meet and interact with one another today, Monday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m. Orlando “El Gato” Melendez of the Harlem Globetrotters will perform some basketball tricks and participate in guiding dolphin behaviors such as the ball toss, solo ball toss, and ball balance. Dolphin Bay trainer Merritt Grusecki will be available to share more information about the amazing abilities of these marine mammals and how the public can help conserve and protect dolphins and other marine life. We invite the media to join us in Dolphin Bay to capture this unique and exciting event.
